Selector (Warehouse) - Burris Logistics
Purpose of this position: To perform all warehouse activities as assigned by management

Selector
PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: Complete customer orders by case picking distributed loads and building pallets according to department specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Select product accurately and properly verify all product against pick tickets.
• Safely operate equipment.
• Minimum performance of 230 cases per hour.
• Read labels to verify orders.
• Ensure a safe a clean work environment.
• Report any equipment problems to Plant Engineer and Supervisor.
• Must be able to comply with physical demands.
• Must be able to interact courteously and tactfully with managers, co-workers, customers, and/or vendors to the point that productivity and morale are positively affected.
• Must have regular and consistent attendance.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Utilizing job-specific procedures and tools when needed.
• Performing responsibilities of other positions as requested by Supervisor.
• Utilize Supervisor assistance as needed.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience lifting heavy products.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Stand, bend, stoop, squat, walk continuously while selecting orders.
• Reach above shoulder level frequently.
• Lifting 50 lbs frequently.
• Lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Endurance, fast paced walking continuously.
• Pushing/pulling frequently.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
• Temperatures ranging from -10 to -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
